Main Characteristics

The NC rotary table WRMH is specially designed for horizontal and vertical use on CNC machine tools and machining centers.  The motor is mounted parallel with the worm shaft for compact space saving design.

  • Drive motor is mounted parallel to worm shaft.
  • Worm shaft supported by eccentric housing allows for backlash adjustment.
  • User friendly data interface connection (Hofmann’s plung-in performance) maximizes compatibility and ease of use.
  • Standard center height: 160 mm.
  • Space saving and accurate design.
  • Sealed cover for drive and feedback.
  • Superior cutting performance with our technologically advanced high quality spindle clamping system.
  • Standard design with belt drive.
  • Clamping system operates hydraulically with pressures up to 220 psi.
  • A pneumatic / hydraulic pressure booster allows the operation of the clamping bushing at 8 psi air pressure multiplying hydraulic pressure to 220 psi.
  • Synthetic lubrication allows for maintenance free operation.

WRMH designs

The rotary table WRMH is available in the following designs:

  • Direct and indirect feedback systems.
  • Different motors available according to customers application.
  • Drive motor can be mounted on either side of table.
  • Table plates with diameters of 250 mm or 300 mm including t-slots (DIN 650 H12)
  • Spindle bore includes centering bore with diameter 35 mm (H7), 8 mm deep and a MT4 spindle taper (DIN 228).  Additional spindle configuration available.

WRMH is available with:

  • Fourth axis in conjunction with your controller.
  • “Stand Alone” applications or interface able with machine control “M” functions with our Hofmann CNC control system CPS 20.

Options / Accessories

  • Increased spindle run out and spindle accuracy.
  • Increased indexing accuracy.
  • Increased spindle speed.
  • Indirect feedback system:  Design with incremental encoder mounted on either the drive motor or on the worm shaft.
  • Direct feedback system:  Design with incremental encoder mounted on the back side of the indexing spindle.
  • AC, DC and stepping motors including motor covers.
  • Hofmann NC control system CPS 20.
  • Hofmann stepping motor control system SAM alpha.
  • Prepared interface including customer specified plugs for easy integration of the WRMH in the customers NC control system (Hofmann’s “plug in performance).
  • Tailstock, manually operated.
  • Tailstock, hydraulically operated.
  • Three and four jaw chucks with back plate; chuck diameter 160 mm and 200 mm.
  • Clamping kit for mounting WRMH on supports, pallet systems and machine tables.
  • Air inlet with regulator, oiler and and filter set.
  • Hydraulic unit for spindle clamping and power tailstock.
  • Pneumatic / hydraulic pressure booster for spindle clamping and power tailstock.
