Characteristics
The tilting rotary table type HPRS / NC with NC drive is especially designed for machine tools and machining centers. With precise encoders and direct feedback systems, it is possible to achieve extremely high accuracy for machining and measuring applications.
- Highly compatible with customer’s motor and feedback system for easy installation on existing machine controls. Motors can be mounted according to customer’s application either angled with bevel gears or folded with a belt drive.
- Feedback system can be mounted indirect or direct, according to accuracy needs.
- Heavy duty worm gear components of tilting and rotation axis, including backlash adjustment.
- Compact space saving design with table plates available from 250 to 800 mm.
- Fast and accurate positioning of table spindle and tilting axis.
- High machining efficiency is possible through built in centric clamping bushings on rotation and tilting axis. The necessary clamping pressure can be achieved either by machining unit hydraulics, separate hydraulic unit or by a pneumatic / hydraulic pressure booster.
- Low maintenance due to lifetime lubrication for worm gears.

Electrical Connections
To connect the tilting rotary table, there are the following choices:
- 4th and 5th axis with existing CNC control of machine.
- 4th axis with existing CNC control of machine. Tilting axis manually controlled with micrometer dial.
- With separate programmable two axis NC controller CPS-300. “M” function from machine control is necessary to activate CPS-300.
- Stand alone version with Hofmann two axis NC controller CPS-300 including hydraulic power pack HC-22 or pneumatic booster for unlimited applications on CNC machine tools.
- Stand alone version with Hofmann single axis NC controller CPS-20 including hydraulic power pack HC-22 or pneumatic booster for unlimited applications on CNC machine tools.
Design / Options
- Table diameters: 250, 320, 400, 500, 630 and 800 mm.
- Direct feedback system for rotation and tilting axis to achieve higher accuracy.
- Accepts all motors according to customer’s design.
- Motor on rotation axis can be folded with a belt drive for limited space applications.
- Available without hydraulic clamping bushings for applications not exerting machining force.
- Positive air pressure inlet to prevent damage caused by cooling fluids.
- Manual and power three or four jaw chucks available.
